The Territory
Located in Berchidda, in the heart of Gallura, our winery benefits from a unique territory that profoundly influences the quality of our wines.
Each vineyard tells a story, shaped by the wind,
granite, and Sardinian sun.
Biodiversity & History
Surrounded by prehistoric landmarks such as dolmens, giants' tombs, nuraghi, and Roman ruins,
Berchidda is immersed in a land rich in history and culture.

Winemaking Tradition
Berchidda boasts an ancient winemaking tradition, renowned for producing the prestigious Vermentino di Gallura DOCG. The Wine Museum, located in the highest part of the town, tells this story through educational tools and historical equipment used in local viticulture.
Soils
Gallura is characterized by granite-origin soils with a coarse sandy texture, rich in rock fragments. This composition provides excellent drainage and a sub-acidic pH, ideal for Vermentino cultivation, imparting a distinctive minerality that balances the wine’s natural softness and alcohol content.
Climate & Winds
The area's Mediterranean climate, combined with hillside elevations exceeding 350 meters above sea level, promotes strong temperature variations. These conditions enable full phenolic ripeness of the grapes while preserving their natural acidity.
Wind is a defining feature of Gallura: the powerful, persistent Mistral and gentle sea breezes help keep the vines healthy, reducing humidity and limiting the development of pathogens.
These air currents, infused with sea salt, give the wines a distinctive saline note, enhancing their freshness and aromatic complexity.
The unique combination of granite soils, constant ventilation, and maritime influences makes Berchidda an ideal environment for viticulture, where tradition and nature merge to create wines of superior quality.
